2nd Annual Black Friday Readathon ’17: Completed and Winners

Hosted by DuLivre, Mocha Girls Read, and Books and Sensibility

We are done.

Another read-a-thon completed.

You did it!!

This read-a-thon was good.  We had a great time reading, doing reading challenges, and chatting on Twitter.  Of course, there were naps.  I mean how can you not take a nap after eating Thanksgiving Dinner leftovers for lunch.  That is nap waiting to happen.

So I completed 1 book..

…and started two others.  I think I will finish one of them before Monday.  Unfortunately, finishing the two books will not get me caught up on my Goodreads Reading Challenge.  I need to get a few childrens book from the library to get to the 55 books a year goal.

Tons of tea was consumed too.

Now on to the winners of the reading challenges.

10 WORD STORY Twitter winner is Exo Supremacist.  He won a mystery book package.

Mocha Girls Read BOOK PUZZLE winner is Areeba Naaz.  She won a book from Amazon ($10 value)

And last but not least the Facebook BOOK POETRY winner is Emmanuelle Schick.  She won an audiobook of Nightshade for Waring by Bailey Cattrell.

Congratulations winners!!

See ya all next year everyone!

2nd Annual #Black Friday Read-a-Thon on November 24

Hosted by DuLivre, Mocha Girls Read, and Books & Sensibility

Black Friday ads are everywhere!  People are getting their funds, sleeping bags, and gear together for the mad rush.  I wouldn’t be too shocked if there are people lining up in front of Best Buy right now.

Now, why would I or anyone want to be apart of this madness?

Yikkes!  This is madness.  Wait…is that an iron?  Whattt?? All of this for an iron!!!

These folks have lost their minds over kitchenware.

Now, let’s find a calmer, peaceful and sane activity like a READ-A-THON!  Amber @DuLivre came up with this brilliant idea last year.  A read-a-thon at home with the books we love.  I mean this is the most perfect event.  You can:

  • Finish a book on your nightstand.
  • Get caught up on a reading challenge.
  • Start that book you have always wanted to read.

I know you are excited about the read-a-thon now.  So here is the information about the #BFRaT (that’s the hashtag we will be using.)
