Why I Love Wednesday

Why I Love Wednesdays…Book Worlds

Reflections of a Bookaholic

Mocha Girl Alexis from Reflections of a Bookaholic started a Wednesday Meme called Why I Love Wednesday.  What is a Meme you ask?  According to wikipedia…The term “Internet meme” refers to a catchphrase or concept that spreads rapidly from person to person via the Internet, largely through Internet-based email, blogs, forums, Imageboards, social networking sites and instant messaging.  Basically, a topic from the meme host (Alexis) is posted on participating blogs with blog authors answering it on their site (here).

The topic this Wednesday is…Book Worlds

So many authors have created fantastic worlds with well written descriptions of locations and with completely unique scenery.  If you had to choose a book world to live in, what book would you choose?  Would you choose a District from Hunger Games?  The vintage circus of Water for Elephants?  Or the French Quarters of Interview with a Vampire?

Get your passport ready!

  • I would choose Hogwarts. I think J.K. Rowling’s book world achieved an unparalleled level of believability and absorption – I can imagine every corridor, the smells of the feasts, the cold chill of the dementors. Yes, the Harry Potter world would definitely be the one of my choosing!

    • I love Hogwarts and everything about the Harry Potter World too! Except the Dark Arts and Voldermort!

  • Definitely Hogwarts for me too! I think that would be many people’s picks! This is going to sound weird but I loved THG so much, I would like to be in the arena just to get the real feel of it.

    • I think I would like to just visit the Capitol but not the arena. I’m in the middle of Catching Fire right now and I am so over the Capitol right now!! ARGHH!! Really President Snow?!!?! Come on!!

  • I agree with you. I would visit the Capitol but there is no way in heck I’m going into the arena. I know I wouldn’t make it out.

    • I have about 50 pages left on Catching Fire and I am not happy about the Capitol at all. I am going to have to cancel my ticket. Lol.
