Why I Love Wednesdays… Bookish Websites

Reflections of a Bookaholic

Mocha Girl Alexis from Reflections of a Bookaholic started a Wednesday Meme called Why I Love Wednesday.  What is a Meme you ask?  (I just found out myself)  According to wikipedia…The term “Internet meme” refers to a catchphrase or concept that spreads rapidly from person to person via the Internet, largely through Internet-based email, blogs, forums, Imageboards, social networking sites and instant messaging.  Basically, a topic from the meme host is posted on other blogs with blog authors answering it on their site.  Got it!?  LOL!!

So this weeks topic is Bookish Websites.  There are so many to choose from that I had to think for a few minutes on this one.  Besides the usual sites like Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Goodreads there are so many book bloggers.  But the one I would love to mention is…

What Should I Read Next

Have you ever finished a book and was really upset it was over?  Or got a book from a friend you enjoyed and wanted to read more books like it?  On this web site all you have to do is type-in the book title and it will generate a list of books you might like.  You could even type in the author or the books ISBN as well.  When the list is generated they give you a link directly to the books Amazon site.  I love it.  So simple and no pop ups and no sign ups.  Simple!

  • Awesome share! I never checked this site out before, now I will. I’m always wondering what I can get that’s similar to certain books I love. Thanks for sharing!

  • This could work, but I think the best recommendations come by word of mouth – particularly from people that know you.

  • Wait what is this? I definitely have to check this one out.
